The current theme of my floral work is a depiction of mental health based around exploring the energy and power that is found in nature's context of ever changing chaos and order. A juxtaposition of delicacy and power that we see mirrored in both nature and humanity. Bright, expressive colours and gestural marks create the life that the flowers encapsulate set on the dark ground, drawing the viewer inwards as the flowers spill outwards off the canvas, creating a sense of two worlds colliding. Beauty in the midst of darkness, chaos within order.
